Lori C. Kammerer

Founded in 2002, Kammerer & Company is a full-service government advocacy and public relations firm working on behalf of employers, trade associations, healthcare and workers' compensation providers and networks.

Lori C. Kammerer is nationally recognized as a leading authority on policy issues affecting California businesses, including workers' compensation, healthcare, and in raising capital for small and start-up companies. Before founding her firm, Kammerer represented the business community as Executive Director of the California Coalition on Workers' Compensation from 1987 to 2002.

For over 30 years, Kammerer has worked to ensure that California's workers' compensation system and all policies important to businesses remain a top priority for Legislature. In addition, Kammerer works to advance the interests of employers and providers before the state's top regulatory officials and the Governor's administration.

Kammerer is also recognized for her successful coalition building, marketing, fund-raising and grassroots membership development techniques. She has extensive experience managing issue campaigns and enhancing the visibility of business and nonprofit associations. Additionally, she develops, directs, and implements grassroots advocacy programs for insured and self-insured small and large employers, including public sector employers representing cities, counties and schools.

Ms. Kammerer is a Member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Women Business Owners - Sacramento Valley Chapter, and is a member of the Employment Development Department's Small Business Advisory Council. She also serves as an advisor to several boards, commissions and task forces, including the California Commission on Health & Safety & Workers' Compensation, the California Workers' Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau, the California State Council of Laborers, and numerous Chambers of Commerce.

Ms. Kammerer has consulted for several political campaign management firms on statewide initiatives and local campaigns. She worked with the Maryland-based fund-raising firm of Odell, Roper & Associates during the 1984 presidential campaign, while also serving as a member of the Presidential Advance Team in Washington, D.C.

Ms. Kammerer earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and Communications from Pepperdine University, where she was named graduation speaker. Ms. Kammerer is a volunteer public relations consultant to various philanthropic organizations and is a member of the Sutter Club's Communications committee
